The Caring Project helps students become more caring, their first step to later becoming nurturing parents, by developing their abilities to know, feel and act in another person's interests. It provides students with caring experiences by surrounding them with adults who model caring in the classroom and who integrate issues of caring into their studies. The project provides consultation, training and implementation. It utilizes Learning How to Care: Education for Parenting, a field tested curriculum focused on monthly parent/infant visits.
