Prepare Tomorrow’s Parents was founded in 1996 to galvanize a national movement to prepare young people for parenting, the most important job most of them will ever do as humans and as citizens. The 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization has grown to become the vanguard of a broad and diverse movement and an essential resource network. We are proud to include the following among our accomplishments to promote and facilitate parenting education for children and teens. Prepare Tomorrow’s Parents has:

Developed www.preparetomorrowsparents.org, a comprehensive website which serves over 65,500 visitors each year. Site includes curricula and program listings, classroom-ready lessons, research and rationale resources, quotes from experts, and much more.  Users adapt materials for their own programs and advocacy.

Published the 182-page guide Preparing Tomorrow’s Parents Today: How to Bring Parenting Education for Children and Teens to Your Schools.  Provides educators, policy makers and other advocates with tools and information needed to establish and operate parenting education programs for young people in their communities.  Documents need for parenting education for children and teens, details school-based programs available, and offers extensive resources for implementing programs. 1,400 bound books distributed to practitioners, advocates and key decision-makers, and the entire guide is available for download free of charge at our website.
